Wouldn’t It Be Nice If Music Was Easy? B(L)og 032

Have you collected a lot of samplers & miscellaneous musical equipment but have trouble creating & releasing any music? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a system in place that makes the process of releasing music sensible? That would really be helpful, wouldn't it?

Music is naturally an abstract area of life. It can be anything you want it to be. And that’s a great thing. You can however, get lost in that very ambiguous world; and without a clear sense of direction, you can potentially spend years doing things that have nothing to do with why you became interested in music in the first place.

If you’re an artist who collects studio equipment but creates no art. You’ve definitely felt the seduction of getting lost in the wonderful haze of the artistic world. It’s difficult to see clearly. There are so many great paths to take. Yet the path that’s meant for you is best.

So; What’s next?

Have you thought about, or been subtly suggested (by you know who); to get rid of your music equipment because neither of you can reasonably justify why you own it? What if there was something out there to make the process of releasing music clear? It would be great to be able to bypass the pit stops and cut straight to where you want to be? It's a lot easier said than done isn’t it?  You Might Have Wondered?  Why I don’t regard online beat making as anything special. Why don’t I personally do it? Making beats online is easy. It's also one of the major ways to get lost in the musical forest of distraction. Don’t get me wrong. There’s plenty of people who make beats online that I enjoy watching. The following sentences however, are my thought on the matter.Anyone can make a beat for the ethereal realm that is the internet. But........... Very few people can sell music to real people. Why is that?

Why is it so easy for any given artist (don’t insert your name here; not even for fun) to get a decent amount of views/likes/fire emojis on a beat video; but.................... They’d quicker see air on Neptune before they’d be able to sell one record? I’ll leave it here with this one.

Here’s The Reason Most artists truly don’t know how to release their music. As a matter of fact, the entire ordeal scares them. They’ve already been promised that it was as easy as streaming their music to the world; Only to realize that streaming music doesn’t sell music. So now we’re left with a lot of broken artists with broken dreams with little hope for the outlook of their musical career. That’s a true blow to the self esteem yet most artists won’t admit it openly. What they do instead is continue to give away and “share” the very thing that they have to offer for free. Actively devaluing their own product, they blissfully post half-finished versions of would-be music anywhere that would accept their upload. This is clearly not the best idea. But at least it’s something right? …………………Right? The Sampling Artists Finishing School Is Here!

We artists generally have a disproportionately large number of unfinished music. In fact, we’re not releasing much music at all! And we're certainly not making enough money from it. This can really make us feel terrible! But to finish our music, release it and make money from it is easier said than done. It’s difficult because this is a skill that must be learned. And so, most artists simply don’t know how to do it. We need a solution to help us finish & profit from our music. My solution is The Sampling Artist Finishing School.

The Sampling Artists Finishing School aka TSAFS is here! Taking your ideas and turning them into songs!

What is The Sampling Artists Finishing School?

The Sampling Artist Finishing School aka TSAFS is a mix of several valuable resources:

  • It’s a self-paced music project planner & manager.

  • It’s a refinement atelier (there’s a strong focus on song arrangement and song completion).

  • It’s a music finishing school designed to take you from a common hobbyist, to a recording artist.

  • It’s designed to make you feel better about finishing and selling your music.

  • Watch and learn from my real-time DAW arrangements.

TLDR: TSAFS is a hybrid atelier for the completion and commercial release of your sample-based music.

What Qualifies Me To Teach You?

After 14 commercial albums; I’ve gained a propensity for releasing my music. I’ve also become known as an educator on vintage samplers and sample-based music. With TSAFS, I’ve taken the sum of this knowledge; and applied it to harmonizing the topics of:

  • Releasing music in its finished state.

  • The skillful art of making money.

Which brings me to this next part.

What Is The Sampling Artists Finishing School All About?
